My company is a large outdoor wireless integrator and we are doing some testing on the Ubiquiti AP line to see how it may augment our traditional business model in the Mesh world.
I have a question about WDS setup. I have 5 Pico stations and (1) is connected to an ethernet connection. I want the other (4) to connect back to the main Pico Station and all (5) to be Access Points to serve clients.
Right now I have them all set to be Access Point WDS and they all connect to each other and seam to accept clients but performance is horrible on the client side even when client signal is great. The peers have LOS between ech other and great link signal. The peer screen shows good transmit and receive link speed.
Pings from the client to the main AP are 2 to 5ms but drop constantly but pings from the client to its connected Pico station are perfect
I was wondering if the way I have the WDS is set right or is there something else that is required
