I have a 70 foot tower that im going to use for my local neighborhood wisp "fingers crossed" but im curious as to where people are putting the radios ? do you mount the antenna up top then run down to the radio or put the radio up there with the antenna. im aware of the loss due to cable run but what is the best solution?
side note
just started using my 2 bullet2hp's i am absolutely floored with this product and the cost. very cool. keep up the good work :)

I have the radios right next to the antennas on all our setups.
You can run LMR cables but longer they are, the more the signal is altered.
10-15 meters max i would say.
PoE is the way to go (150m) , theirs a post on the voltage needed somewhere on the forum.

If you can afford the LMR-1700, I'd use that and mount the radios at base of tower for easier maintenance.
