My home desktop is running 64 bit Vista. I downloaded 2.2.1, installed and have a problem.
The Discovery app window comes up fine, but is not populated. Clicking on Scan does not do anything.
This computer has two NIC cards, on on the address range of all the NS5 etc and on with internet IP.

I know that 2.2.1 is ok as I have it on a XP box just fine.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

WHT

The Discovery Tool is a Java app, therefore OS agnostic.

[Edited: Agnostic may be misinterpreted. A better choice of wording would be, "the Java app does not care what OS it operates over, as long as the correct and most current Java engine is installed".]

You may not have the latest Java installed.

Instructions on the Sun website:

I do not think it is the Java. Just installed from Sun website a few days ago.

Could it be that this computer has two nic cards. One is my connection to the internet via firewall, the other is my direct connection to the private network.
It works fine for the web browser and pinging, but possibly there is something in the Discovery tool that only looks at the first nic card??
