View Full Version : Looking for suggestions for indoor enclosures with AirOS

Hi everyone,
I'm absolutely falling in love with the Ubiquiti line of outdoor units, and the power of AirOS has blown me away.

What about indoors though? What options are there for a more traditional looking indoor access point? In my mind, I'm seeing a regular looking enclosure with a "rubber duck" antenna. Something suitable for setting on a shelf. I also really want to have AirOS power this hypothetical device.

I can envision using a LiteStation2 or MiniStation with a custom enclosure.

Are there any other options?
Is there an existing source for enclosures?
Is anyone doing something like this currently?

I would love to hear some thoughts about this.

Thank you,
Andy Hull

A cigar box with art deco decoupage comes to mind...

But I'm allergic to art deco, King Louie furniture, houses painted swimming pool green, and avocado kitchen appliances.

Yeah, I assumed as much.

Perhaps the customer won't mind if I just duct tape a PS2 to the wall. That shouldn't look too bad, eh?

Thanks

Duct tape won't stay in place too long. Stick a length of it against the wall...sticky side out and staple it to the wall. Then pull the sticky side end pieces over the radio.

Netgate should have custom cases for both the LiteStation, MiniStation, RouterStation & RSPro soon. :ubnt_banana:
