We have a requirement to transport 100Mbps full duplex over a distance of 4.5kms (great wireless conditions).
This is a new backhaul link for a large last-mile wireless network.
The distribution is MT based throughout but it does not seem that the same can offer a solution for this kind of throughput.
Currently we are looking at Solectek and Alvarion kit and these work out to about 10K for the link.
While this is not a huge issue in this case it is still interesting to look at other possibilities.
Could such capacity be achieved using Ubiquiti and if so what kind of topology are we looking at?
Obviously a 2x2 radio / antenna solution is required due to the simplex nature of wireless.
Any advice on this subject would be much appreciated.
