I know I've been blasting out some off the wall topics but this one is a legit question on the capabilities of the RS.
Unless I'm wrong here the purpose of the 3 mini pci's in the RS is to allow each device to do it's own job. Take this for example, you want to run a large coverage hotspot around a park. You install 3 radio's in the Routerstation, one card is the uplink, one is the downlink, and the thrid is the local coverage one that is running Coovachilli in AP mode. Now you want to create a mesh, so how best to approach this? You could do it manually by changing each devices lan ip and then manually telling it to connect to said name of the last devices uplink signal.
That's one way but that doesn't seem efficent. So next up, WDS. How would one go about configuring two cards inside one RS to do differnet jobs to build the WDS network at the same time allowing the 3rd card to run in AP mode.
Next up, OLSR and or Batman. Any suggestions? How are you guys setting up your mesh network? There has to be someone in here doing this, right?
