hello guys,

we recvd a request to provide complete wireless connectivity solution for a Compound.. .. we are planing to setup mikrotik hot spot solution..we need ur advice on few things..

The Compound Area is 280 * 220 Meters.

it has 72 bungalows..each bungalow is G + 1 floor. all are individual ones..we need to setup wireless connection to cover all bungalows..am attaching blue print of compound..if any one can suggest us.

how many wirelss accesspoints can cover ths whole area.? what power of card shud we use.? how much db will work ? wht directions antenna we might need.?
do we need repeaters ?? what is best and reasonable equipemnt for us ?
how can we setup wireless points??

You might want to consider contracting out the design and initial testing to a consulting company.

:D Fortunately we are from wireless consultant and service provider company..we already did site survey....

my question here is what ubnt products can server our purpose, depending on area of compound and number of bungalows ....

yes, they will connect directly via laptop/PDA....like hotspot network....

only few may use linksys wireless device(very few) ....

150 meters to a laptop, much less a PDA is pushing it. but here's an idea.

Personally, I'd double the number of access points.

do u think 8 omni antennas with bullet can server my purpose....if yes. how many db antenna u suggest along with bullet 2hp ...

Edit:

design 1) 16 omni antennas with bullet 2 hp

2) 16 pico2hp and one (mikrotik433 ah+ 23 dbi omni antenna)

1) Depends if your country will allow a 16 dBi antenna on the Bullet 2

2) Pico 2 would be a good idea, but I'd use a Loco 2 for the clients.
