Regarding your SR71-C, I would like to put this in a PCMCIA slot on 6 PC's running Windows XP/SP2.

Your website only says "Linux" under OS support. Is this true?

Would the SR71X be a better choice? Is it reall a PCI-Express card as advertised on the site, or is it a PCMCIA/Cardbus ?

I am looking to be able to run the 6 nodes, indoors, same large room, little multipath (concrete block walls) 802.11n in the 5.8ghz spectrum + an 802.11n router. I need to have extremely low latency (<1ms ping times) with the network under light loads (2-4 mbps). Some advice to accomplish this if you have any would be appreciated. This is in an RF-hostile environment in the 2.4 range.

Hi Dan,

SR71-X is an ExpressCard; not cardbus.

SR71-C ships with a windows Vista driver. (we should have it onour site shortly)

If you are connecting to an 802.11n AP, I would go with SR71-C. Otherwise, SRC is OK

Robert,

Does the SR71-C work with WinXP / SP2? or just VISTA?

Also, is the cardbus format the same as PCMCIA?

Thanks,

Dan

Yes...cardbus is simply slang for a PCMCIA format.

Rconaway was telling me he has a laptop that he can plug in both a Express Card or a standard PCMCIA card and it will work.
