I'm a little confused reading the postings out here. The SR71 data-sheets all say that they support Linux. Yet I see comments from Mike saying no Linux drivers are available (?) So my question is - exactly what environment do you need in order to use a pair of these cards in a long-distance 5Ghz link? Will AirOS work? If not, what does? Thanks.

Hello,
The Card will work with Linux be UBNT does not directly support it. The open source community has the Ath9k project that runs the SR71 series.
Thanks,
Mike

Is there any other alternative? The ath9 stuff doesn't seem ready for production yet, and I assume UBNT wouldn't have developed all this hardware only to be dependent on an incomplete third-party open-source project! What are your plans for AirOS support for the SR series?

I wanted to use SR71 in my project as well. From my research the only, supposedly, stable "OS" is DDWRT. Beside that, Mikrotik has hinted on n announcement in a couple of weeks from now.

Hi guys
Anyone had a tutorial or website about the setup of OS ath9 or stable OS to user SR71-15?
Thanks
