vista control of pcmia card

I specified at install of the latest (downloaded) driver that ubu should control the card. However, when asked if windows should be diabled, I said no. The utility thinks it isin control of the card but isn't. windows is in control and the card sees less access points than the builtin wifi adapter.

How do I put ubu really in control? how would I regain vista control if I need to, especially for the builtin radio?
