I am currently using a DMS Wireless OM7606V 6dBi omni with a XR7 in a RB411AH in WDS AP mode.

The goal of this project is to allow fixed location and automobile mounted units from 10 meters to 2km. Mobile units will be contained to 1km.

Intial testing has been done using an identical antenna mounted to a golf cart. I am looking for something smaller, as the 6 foot antenna mounted on the golf cart makes me look remote controlled. Also, Signal strength in such close proximty to the antenna results in poor results.

Does anyone out there have a suggestion a metal whip antenna that may fit my needs?

Blanche: You wouldn't be able to do these awful things to me if I weren't still in this chair.
Jane: But you *are*, Blanche! You *are* in that chair!

Thanks Mitch. For anyone interested, the antennas Mitch is talking about are build-to-order. Lead time is about 2-4 weeks as they are built to spec in a Chinese factory. We've done 700MHz Yagis, Sectors and Omnis. So far (with the exception of the 12dBi omni), the reviews have been positive.
