RS and Cisco 2900

Hi,
I seem to have serious trouble connecting router station to Cisco catalyst 2900XL switch - the etehernet (none) doesn't get a link at all. Turning off autonegotiation doesn't seem to help.. any ideas ?

Cross cable seems to be the answer .... one doesn't come across two devices without MDI/MDI-X support ...
