Hi guys i am currently using a old buffalo router connected to a 1.5mbs T1,
I have 2 NS5s connected as a bridge wich then has 2 bullet 2 as aps connected to that . i went with the 2 bullets each has about 20 (had 34 on on just 1) clients on them.
I have the 2bullets connected to a netgear switch and then to the ns5

Today i think i lot my Ips and i was wandering if it could be the old buffalo needs to be replaced and if so will a routerstation with maybe 1 xr2 card work .
Or for now can i use a routerstation with out any cards at all ?
If this works then i want to upgrade to 2 xr2s and a xr5 on the hill to replace the bullets.

The RouterStation is a perfectly functional little Linux board out of the box. It boots up and all the software works fine.

If you don't add radios, you simply do not get any wireless functionality. The wired ethernet connections work just fine.

Remember, the RouterStation is an OpenWRT based system. It does not include any kind of real web interface or GUI. This means you need to expect to SSH in and manage via the command line.

Things like X-WRT can be installed to add a GUI, but it is not very polished, particularly compared to something simple like AirOS on the Nanostations. And overall, there's a lot of little details that just are pretty inelegant with OpenWRT.

You can read about X-WRT here:
http://x-wrt.org/

I would advise against getting a RouterStation unless you are comfortable with Linux. However, if you are comfortable with Linux, they're great boards!!!

Yes, DD-WRT is working on the RouterStation (WIP, Work In Progress).
Check DD-WRT WEB Site...
