I am getting ready to deploy a rb433 / XR9 access point, but I can only seem to get it to connect at 1mbps tx/rx rate, and it won't pass traffic. The client shows a signal level of -34db but the tx/rx ccq is 12%. I had it working great once, but the next morning it had dropped to 1 mbps. The antennas are about 50 feet apart, in the building.

Let me if you need any other details.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark.

Mikrotik offers many configuration options and sometimes people overkill during setup (I've done it before).

Try using the following configuration:
WIRELESS -> INTERFACES -> WIRELESS tab
Mode => 2GHz-10MHz
Frequency => 2432 MHz or 2427 MHz

In some cases where NLOS is very critical you can use 2GHz-5MHz mode.

Play around with these modes and frequencies to reach the best throughput.

If it does not help try going back to basic. Reset the boards to factory setup and ajust mode/frequency to the ones above.

If it works better affter resetting you can deploy your custom configs.

Fell free to PM if you need further help.

You could go back and check cables, pigtail plug and other connections just to make sure it is OK.

Make sure you backup you configs before reseting the boards.

Have fun,
