Ok, this contest deadline is getting closer and closer.... yet nothing in this forum is being answered. Please guys, the copyright concern is just one thing that a number of people have expressed issue with.

This is a marketing excercise for UB and I suspect that no prize will ever be issued.
First, The specification for the prize is so broad and defined in such a manner that if there were 5 people reading the spec, there would be 5 different interpretations. It has already been stated on this forum that the functionality in the rules have to be completely developed. The question I ask, entrants is 'What is your interpretation of the spec?', 'Is it the right interpretation?'.
Second, If UB cannot take the time to clarify the copyright and other issues that have been brought to their attention, they are not going to be serious about the contest. Clarifying the copyright issue is NOT in UB's best interest. I suspect the reason they are precluding companies from participating is so that they can prey on less informed individuals who don't understand what the copyright issue represents ... they just see the $$$$

I do apolgoize for the confusion. There are many team workin on this at this time. I do not know the copyright status but the emails can be sent in to me at mike@ubnt.com and I will try and get them clarified. I am not handling the RouterStation challenge but will see what I can track down for you.
