Concern over copyright clause in output

I think this is an oversight in the contest rules... I encourage Ubiquity to revise them.

The contestant is asked to put:


Copyright - use "© 2008 Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. All rights reserved." as non-intrusive text


members of OpenWrt and Linux and other projects find this to be overzealous. I think if it said "PORTIONS" copyright or or "some interface additions"... hopefully you get the idea.

I suggest the Ubiquity lawyers review this. It has created some bad perception.

I agree. I continue to hear complaints on this issue in the Linux community. What's the big deal Ubiquiti, it just looks like a mistake... writing the rules was a lot of work, so make a change.
