Routerstation and 8.09 Openwrt 2.6 Kernel

I'm trying to determine what version of Openwrt comes with the Routerstation and if it's possible to flash it with a 2.6 Kernel version of Openwr. I know I'll probably need to use atheros based mini pci cards or something that is compatabily with 8.09 and the 2.6 kernel. I've never used Ubiquiti but this router station might be exactly what I need so long as it supports what I've mentioned.

That post shows the package list of what someone is trying to install and I notice the packages are labeled 2.6XX with something following it. I'm assuming that means it's of the 2.6 kernel. Plus the people talk about usb which I'm familar with setting up on ASUS routers and 8.09, this might work out perfect after all.

We are shipping a build based on particular snapshot of the trunk of Kamikaze. 8.0.9 already fully supports RouterStation and works pretty well. People have reported success upgrading to the later snapshots. The kernel is 2.6.28.7 or thereabouts. I believe there are a couple of choices you can pick from - but we built with that one. Have fun.

Thanks for the fast reply, now I just have to track down and verify what mini wireless pci card works right out of the box with the routerstation.

For non-11n best ones are XR5, SR5, XR2, SR2, in that order. For 11n station mode, SR71A should be ok. Also, I believe you can get SR71USB to work with the Otus drivers... had a link somewhere if you need it, let me know.
