Would it be possible to add support for 152-bit WEP (128-bit key + 24-bit IV), as supported by some other Atheros devices (such as Sparklan WX-7800A)?
This could be useful for compatibility with existing networks in multi-point bridge mode (to be able to add another WDS link to a WX-7800A on the other end, without changing all keys). WEP is not very secure, but as there is no real alternative for WDS bridge mode (WPA not supported), I hope the longer key is at least a little more difficult to crack...

It seems the missing WEP-152 support is only a limitation of the web GUI.
A full 128-bit key can be set with iwconfig ath0 key ... (temporarily) or by download, edit and upload of .cfg file (leave wireless.1.security=wep128 as is, just add 6 hex digits to wireless.1.security.1.key=...), and it seems to work fine with my WX-7800A. The longer key from the modified .cfg file is visible in the Link Setup form too, but is not accepted when clicking Change. So it's almost there, just need some javascript fixed :)

Testing XS5.ar2313.v3.4-rc.4351.090504.2152 now - things haven't changed:
- WEP-152 works fine (tested with Sparklan WX-7800A, as well as another NS5) when the longer key is set in iwconfig or /tmp/system.cfg
- Link Setup in the web GUI still won't allow entering it, or making any other changes (Please enter a valid "WEP key (5 HEX pairs)")

Would it be possible to relax this restriction of the web GUI, to allow 128 bits = 32 hex characters (which is the maximum WEP key length accepted by iwconfig)? Looks like a simple slink.js fix (allow 5, 13 or 16 hex pairs).

This is an annoying bug...

I have several hundred cpe's with 16pair hex keys... and my option is to change all those or go through the tedious process of downloading. .editing and uploading the config file each time I need to change a setting on the network page.

This seems like such an easy fix, simply relax the restriction on the javascript in the web gui....

Please?
