We are trying to set up a small network for an RV park. Our intention is to use WDS to do the back haul.
Problem one: the older unit, abandoned by a previous company will not allow me to enter a MAC address. I did load in the latest firmware package for the NS2. (Only after it was in process did I realize it was via a 10 foot wireless link, but it finished okay.)
When I load the MAC, it always comes up "Load PEER1 with a legal MAC address" as near as I can remember it.
What am I missing?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Gene

Call them Unit A and B.
Unit A is the older unit supposedly. I could not load it with Unit B's MAC address initially, so we updated the firmware to the latest I think. It has the same problem, "load a valid PEER1 MAC" when I click on the change button.
Unit B was just purchased and accepted Unit A's MAC.

Re-reading your note, here are MACs and Firmware numbers.
New unit: MAC = 00 15 6d ab 9c fb
Firmware = NS2.ar2316.v2.2.1.2476.080208.1627
Old Unit MAC = 00 15 6d a7 c4 65
Firmware = XS2.ar2316.v3.2.2.3891.081021.2153
loaded with: NS2.ar2316.v3.3.1.4227.090128.1828.bin
When I attempt to load the MAC of the new unit, it rejects it.
Thanks for your help. I need all the guidance I can get.

Robert,
My MAC entry problem was one of formatting. They must be entered in two digits spaced by a colon. commas, spaces or semi-colons do not work.
I also went to specificed MAC addresses verses Auto. Finally, to keep life simple, I updated all of the firmware in the units to the latest load set. We are running.
