Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to use this forum but so far have not figured it out. I have two towers as follows.

Tower A is on the east side
Tower A is 200 feet tall and the following Lat./Lon. of 32 27 45 91 33 13

Tower B is in the middle
Towe B is 90 feet tall with Lat./Long of 32 28 16 91 45 69

The two towers are about 12 miles apart . The Terrain is both trees and open fields and is very flat. The variation in terrain is very very small in this area.

In addition I have interest in another tower C which is 8 miles to the west of Tower B and 200 feet tall. Lat. Long of Tower C is 32 29 1 91 54 10

Can someone tell me how high I will have to go and either go with 2.4 GHZ using an omni in the middle tower B and directional antennas from Tower A and C pointing back to Tower B which is omnidirectional antenna.

Another option would be to go Point to Point using 2.4 GHZ directionally from Tower B to Tower C and from Tower B to Tower A using high gain parabolic antennas at all towers. Thank you for your help in this matter. thanks KWD

From the west tower to the center tower, you need at least 50 meter towers at both ends to get a .6 Fresnel clearance. A pair of standard bullets at 5 Gig and 27 dBi grid antennas will give you a at least a 20 dB fade margin at a 24 Mbps data speed (internet test speed of 12 Mbps). You can take that up to 48 Mbps data speed with three foot diameter 30 dBi solid dishes.

From the east tower back to the center tower, you need at least 45 meters for the east tower for the same connections described above.

Oppps...let me redo that with the tower heights you provided. I forgot.

Center antenna mounted at 22 meters and east antenna at 22 gives you .8 Fresnel clearance and 26 dB fade margin at 24 Mbps data speed (which is adequate for a 10 Mbps DSL connection). Using Bullet 5 with 27 dBi grid antennas.

Path for center antenna and west antenna is a .7 clearance at both antennas at 20 meters. 29 dB fade margin.
