Somewhat surprisingly in this day and age, found that the ethernet ports do not auto-crossover. Discovered when plugged into an older pre-auto-mdx switch and got no link lights. /me checks watch to see which century we are living in.

See this earlier post for links to a site with datasheets for the switch chip:

Auto MDIX is supported by the switch and it should be enabled by default, but we'll look into it. I don't think I have any non-auto-mdix equipment to test with. What is your test setup?
Thanks,

I am plugging the router station into an older Netgear FS108 switch. The FS108 is the kind that has one port that is switchable between normal and "uplink" with a manual push-button. Newer FS108's auto crossover. When I use a straight-through ethernet cable, I get no link light to LAN1 or WAN. When I insert a cross-over cable I do get a link light and it works. (LAN2 still isn't working, but I am assuming that's another issue).

Funny coincidence. I have a buddy who had an a FS105 which he lent me. It's got the same button on it. I have fixed the boot loader to enable AutoMDIX on startup on all ports and the corrected boot loader should be in the next release.

I am using r15349M-BETA upgrade and still have the problem.
Is the bootloader fixed in the last revision ?
Thanks

I rediscovered this oddity yesterday. I went looking, but did not find either the revised bootloader or any instructions on replacement. Pointers?
