hello I would like to know what is the maximun signal level that saturates the receptor of the nanostation2, because i cant fin it in the datasheet.
i read in some post that a signal up to -55dbm decreace the performance. is this true ? but i need the exact value.
i'm working in my thesis, and i need to do a 1km point to poin link, and i'm using pathloss software to calculate it.
Thanks for any help.

I haven't seen a magic tripping point where the receiver simple bellies up and dies.
Rather you simply have decreasing performance as you start to overload the receiver's front end. Generally when you have more than -30 dBm (a lower signal) to -20 dBm (a stronger signal) hitting the receiver, you'll start seeing degradation in performance.
Theses are general numbers based on what a lot of us have noticed. While one of us could really do a study on this, it would be only for academic reasons as if one did have such a strong siganl, one would take measures to reduce the signal.
Where -50 is the number, no more, no less. -50 shall be the number thou shalt use, and the number to be used shall be -50. -70 thou shall not use, neither use -20. -10 is right out. Once the number -50, being the fourth magnitude above the receiver threshold, be used, then lobbest thy data towards thy client, who being correctly WPA encryption approved, shall use it.

-45 -60 Best performance tested in a real link of 850 meters between 2 NS2 in city environment.

A reading from the Book of Configaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20.

Ah-men. Thank you Brother WHT.
