What equipment do you suggest me to use in CALA??
You can "roll your own" with Mikrotik or just buy a plug and play www.netequalizer.com at about $2,500. There are certainly other solutions.
Keep in mind, the CALEA requirement is only for U.U service providers.

WHT,
Can you explain what a UU service provider is?
Thanks
Oppps...Should have been U.S., as in United States of America.

I hadn't seen this site until yesterday when I found out about CALEA and started digging.
http://www.wispa.org/?page_id=22
From what I gather an ISP is required to show he can meet compliance but the govt. doesn't seem to care how so long as it can be done. There also doesn't seem to be an agreed upon standard (FBI / NSA / HS), but the FBI requirements appear to be what everyone is going with.
Sounds like there are two main pieces of hardware needed. 1: a capturing device sucha as a router capable of isolating and monitoring a data stream & 2: a storage device (file server) to hold the data stream for govt. access. The govt. will need at least FTP access to this data.
If I've missed something I hope someone with more brain power can add / correct to this.
That's about it in a nutshell.
The bothersome part is that there is no way for you to verify you are in complete compliance, other than if they ask and you can't deliver...you're not meeting specs.
Whats more bothering is that as the rules read, if the Podunk Police Department wants the data delivered in tab delimited octidecimal Gaelic, you have to provide it in that format. :?
