I have a few Bullet2HP's on the way. I was thinking I might throw one up on an existing sector (replacing an XR2). On the roof of my main building the sectors are easy to access. I have 3-90deg sectors and 1-45deg sector. The 45deg sector has 12 clients getting 1mb up/1.5mb down. All clients are using PS2's or LS2's, the links currently show client receive 10db better then AP receive (I see this on all my Mikrotik/SR(XR) AP's). This sector is unique due to the excessive obstructions between my building and the rural area's I am serving (Can't get permit to get tower high enough).

Has anyone tested a bullet2HP as AP in the real world yet (with real clients)?

If so, was there any obvious pitfalls?

I am willing to test this due to the ease at which I can revert back (less then 10min including taking ladder off service van). Should have my bullets in the next 2-3 days.

Ummm...inability to find anyone that manufactures a 6 dBi sector antenna comes to mind.

LOL yes, lets assume one will be dropping the output down to 18dbm. :)

I don't think dropping the TPO is gonna help...you would still be restricted to using a 6 dBi antenna.
