Thanks,

MikeDo you have plans to build power supplies to be used with a solar powered system, 11-16 volts DC??

It's hard to justify solar. Depending on where you are, it's usally starts at around $2K or more.

And its still impossible to find the POE supplies from the website, there doesnt appear to be a link to accessories (or whatever) that points to a page with a list of accessories ie poe supplies, sealing rings etc

I live Off-The-Grid and solar power is all I have in my NOC.

How do the new PoE injectors compare to the tiny ones that shipped with the NanoStation2? 12V, 1A is the rating on the one that came with the NS2 whereas these appear to be 15V at .8A. Will all your equipment be moving to 15V? I'm guessing not because the AP-1000 is listed as 12V, 1A. Or do they all accept a range of voltage and amperage and if so, what is the range?

much thanks,
Gary

Will all your equipment be moving to 15V?IMHO, I doubt that. The 15 volt output will help for long ethernet cable runs where you have several volts of drop.

What if I only need a run that's ≤10 feet?

Then you get the full 15 volts feeding radios that are rated at 24 volts max input. No problem.

I guess what I was intending to ask is whether the 15V gear can be powered with the 12V power supplies so long as the cable run is relatively short...? I ask because I have a Soekris board that can take anywhere from 6-20V DC, max 10 Watt. I see another thread from December about 802.3af which already answers my other side question as I've got a pile of unused 802.3af injectors at the office but they're all 48V.

Yes...as the Bullet is rated for a max 24 v input, then any voltage (down to 9 v) will be fine.
