well about a day ago my up speed went way down. My download speed is fine though. I usually get about 500kbps down and around 150-200kbps up.
Now i only get at most 30-40kbps up, it has even been as low as 12. I have -69 connection, my PS2 is set for ewma and I have newest firmware, help would be appreciated.
Without more information, it is impossible to suggest a solution.
Is this s private point to point link or are you connecting to a WISP access point. Have you changed anything on your end before your speed dropped? Have you tried changing channels (not likely possible if you're connecting to a WISP). If you are connecting to a WISP, have you called them?

can you plz specify what kind of connection this is. for instance if it's connected to your internet connection is it possible that your ISP has your connection in a BCU(bandwidth control unit)? or is this a LAN network? have you checked your bandwidth limit setting on the PS itself?......

well this is a wireless connection to a tower in the town i live nearby. And yes i have called and I usually get someone that doesnt know wat do because the owner is not there  but.... I have not changed anything it just randomly did this one day and i have no idea why. 20 Mhz bandwith setting. Tx 5.5mbs Rx 11mbs
I'd keep calling them to get an answer.

well i just called agian and.. he just left, I dont know wat is wrong but its really weird. it just randomly started doing it. I also find it strange that my up speed went down but my down is fine. Is it possible someone on my tower could be using a torrent and taking all my up speed?

If the Radio is set to Horizontal then I would suspect interference.
What is your CCQ?...Does it fluctuate?

no it is set to vertical, and ccq is 91.8% I really have no idea why it is so bad.

If you know what your DNS server address' are try doing a a tracert to it. Need to find out where it is slowing down. It might not have anything to do with your equipment.
Or run a continuous large packet ping to the DNS or to the first hop off your ISP's network.

well i dont know how to find my dns on a Ps2, if i look it just gives me the Ps2's ip. How would i find this?
Just replace your current DNS addresses with an alternative DNS set. Do an online search for free or open DNS servers. See if that helps, if not...you really really need to call your ISP.

So if you open up the command prompt and do a ipconfig /all the the DNS address that is listed is the address of the PS2?

Hello --
Your RX strength is -69dBm?
What is your signal strength to the AP (TX)?
Thanks,
Robert
