Hi,

I'd like to buy a RouterStation but the power supply specifications are not clear. Can I use a power injector with a 24V 1,6 A (38 W) power supply "Mikrotik-like"? Is the amount of electric current (1,6 A) to high?

Thanks

If..IF...you know the power supply will never ever never dump out a spike over 24 volts, then its all right to use it on short cable runs. The voltage drop past a hundred feet limit those over excursions.

The power supply amperage rating is how much current it can supply to the load. As long as the current rating on the load is less than the current rating of the power supply, its all right.
