Hi,

could someone please tell me the difference between a AP-WDS/Station-WDS
and an AP/Station connection?...respectively point me to a thread or document
where this is explained?
Does this setup "1. AP-WDS/ 2. Station-WDS" mean, that a third AP-WDS or
ST-WDS can connect to the "2. Station -WDs" by WDS"?

Thank you!

Hello,

AP/WDS/StA WDS is used for a full layer 2 bridge.

AP/WDS to AP/WDS is used for repeater mode and will allow units to connecto to either AP while each AP talks to one another.

AP to STA is just standard point to multipoint deployment.

Thanks,

Mike

For PtP Use Ap-WDS/ST-WDS to have full layer two bridging. This creates a transparent bridge between remote networks or extending your lan.
