Should auto ip aliasing be on or off?

We generally set up cpes as nat routers which is pretty straight forward, but I noticed there is an extra check box for auto IP aliasing - I kind of get what it's about (windows auto ip), but does it need to be on or off in my situation?

You can safely turn off it. It is used in case you miss configured something and can not access the device any more by configured IP. So Auto IP is set always if it is turn on.
