hi all:

i have thw following problem..

i have 20+ PS2 connected to an omni antenna (15dBi) + XR2 (20Km area coverage {estimated, not effective}), each PS2 have a IP survilleance camera. when i try to open certain numer of cameras, all the node falls down... we have checked the node and we have checked that CCQ value is lower in almost all the PS2, so we try fixing the rate algorithm from Conservative to EWMA, in almost all cases this helped each PS2 link, but i can only open a few more numer of cameras.

where can i check to get solution to this issue???
is there any parameter that you need to know for helping me???

note: PS2 fw version is not the same in each radio.

Hello,

How much bandwidth does each camera use?

Thanks,

Mike

all cameras have bandwidth fixed to 128Kbps or lower

I would suggest first getting all the PS2's to the same version of software first so you have a standard to work with. Please post specs of the cameras, resolution, frame rate, compression type and setting, make and model of the camera, data rate chart through the XR2, connection quality and speed of all the radios, and a site survey.

For me it seems like it is AP (with XR2) problem not PS2s'. Check clients' signal on AP.

Actually, you may be right but there is nowhere near enough information for me yet. I have seen a lot of issues with video cameras doing weird bandwidth things from cheap ones to really expensive ones. For example, on Axis cameras, the phrase maximum bandwidth is more of a suggestion than an absolute. On most cameras, you can also open up multiple streams. Some video software will see a hiccup in the stream and then open up a second window without closing the first stream, thus doubling the bandwidth. It also depends on whether the stream is UDP or TCP/IP. With the differences in CCQ between different versions of your fimware, I would say let's start with getting a common foundation with the radios, make sure that all those look good and then start from there.

yeah, i think that it is interference in the AP site. i have changed the XR2 and CCQ goes up( first XR2 have CCQ varying from 40% to 80%, second have CCQ 90% and upper) , but this card did that my RB433AH began to reboot, so i left the firts one. before that, we "resolved" the issue setting up the Rate Algorithm to EWMA, we can open near to 10 cameras (because near 10 are active, a PLC is working as a on/off switch for power on the camera and shut them down when they are not neccesary, and we dont have access to the main PLC controller.) and ping times are very low, next day the issue has returned, five cameras take down the whole cell, ping times goes higher when the number of cameras goes up. next day was the change of the XR2.

sorry for not posting back earlier, i have no much time since i began posting this problem to get the information you ask for. the cameras are Vivotek IP7135, i have no config file at my hands this time, nor image from the config GUI, but i remember that most cameras have bandwith fix rate to 128kbps. as i said to UBNT-keba, CCQ is varying in XR2 from 40 to 80%. PS2's CCQ before EWMA was very low, now we have better CCW in almost all PS2, i need to perform the firmware upgrade, i think that PS2.ar2316.v3.2.3-rc.4063.081124.1732 is the firmware that i will use.

thanks for your time, i hope i post the data you need soon!!!.
