Hi,

I recently bought a pair of bullet2s to test. One of them, straight out of the box constantly reboots. I have not connected this to any dish or antenna. I simply plugged in the poe and left it running on the bench. It reboots every few minutes. The second one with the same power supply has run successfully with a reboot for 2 days.

I have tried both 12 and 24v power supplies and at the moment I am using the 12v 1a power supply from a nanostation.

Is there something I should be checking here or is this simply a defective module?

Thanks
Eamonn...

Hello Ecarey,

How long after plugging it in does it reboot? Also for an RMA please email me at mike@ubnt.com

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

It usually reboots the first time within 3-5 minutes of being plugged in and will continue to reboot on a similar interval thereafter.

Thanks

Does it still do it with nothing plugged into the LAN port?

Yes, I have left it for long periods and when I come back to it it will only be up a few minutes. I have it dumping out to a syslog server at the moment to see if I can capture anything just before it reboots to tell me why, but there it never logs anything, all I get is the boot messages.

Not a good sign, RMA the puppy.

just curious but what do you have the IP watchdog setting at?

The watchdog would have been switched off. This was fresh out of the box.
