How do you set up a point to point with the ps2's without using one as an AP?

Using the OTHER one as an AP.

So there is no way to get them to only operate in bridge mode?

Yes, simply set them both to bridge mode.

I could be wrong but he might be asking if they can both be in a "non ap" mode as to not broadcast out an SSID. Besides just hiding the SSID I don't think it's possible. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, simply set them both to bridge mode.

When you say bridge mode, do you mean set them in station mode with the same ssid? Will that work or is there a bridge mode that I am not seeing in the GUI?

That is correct! that would be the ideal situation for me.

One solution is to set the head end up as an AP in bridge mode and the other end as a Station in bridge mode.

Another solution is to use WDS mode at both ends.

Either way, at least one of the radios has to be an AP and the other a Station.

"Besides just hiding the SSID"

Try Channel Shifting.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Doesn't UBNT sell bridges? I thought they did, but I can't find them anymore.

What does that do? I have never tinkered with that function.

That depends on your definition of "bridge". Any and all wireless devices are bridges. A device that does not separate your LAN is a bridge, compared to a router that isolates your networks. I suppose you could call it them non-routing bridges and routing bridges.

LAN -> wired connection -> end device, is a true bridge
is the same thing as:
LAN -> AP in bridge mode -> wireless -> Station in bridge mode -> wired connection -> end device
or:
LAN -> AP in WDS mode -> wireless -> Station in WDS mode -> wireless connection -> end device, where AP and Station share same channel and SSID.
