Hello-

I would like to setup a point-to-point bridge between 2 houses.

I would also like to make sure that this is only a point-to-point system, as this is in a dense housing area with hundreds of other houses in range and I am concerned about security for bank passwords, credit cards, etc...

The houses are 750 feet apart, both at the same altitude. There are some dense pine trees in one area, but I think I can setup to aim around most of them.

This is an Arizona install where the summer temps can reach 120 F. Also, these antennas may be painted light tan if that won't affect the signal.

I am hoping to attain 12MB in each direction.

I like the PowerStation 2 (PS2-17D or PS2-18V) due to their integrated antenna.

Is one better than the other for this type of install? Am I totally off and should be using something different??

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!! Security of the signal and making sure the neighbors don't use the bandwith are my top priorities!!

Also, I want to make sure that the signal is not too strong for a 750 foot distance.

Thank You,

Dalton

The Locostation would work just fine at 750 feet, in fact...you may have to reduce the power such that you get around -30 dBm at both ends. Use WPA encryption.

I don't see a locostation on the website that has an integrated antenna. Does this exist?

I am hoping for something with a built-in antenna that I can just place on the roof and use POE so I only need 1 wire going to the roof.

Thanks for your help,

Dalton
