Hi
I have an xr5 card on rb433ah (ver 3.17)and have seen a new access point near me that is on the same frequency as my card so i tried to change the frequency on my card to avoid interverance as my link drops. It acceps the change but it seems if there is no tx as we cant scan it from the station side rb600 xr5(ver 3.17). If i go back to old freq. the station see the access point immediately. What could be the problem? Help would be much appreciated. :?

Hello Erick,

What country code do you have the MikroTik set to, and do you have the regulatory domain on?

Thanks

Mike

No country code on or regulatory domain on. The link works like a charm 22 hours of a day but had interferance and only wanted to change the freq so that new AP does not interfere with my stuff. What is mind boggling to me as on the one freq. it works and we do have good signal strenth. Only it does not tx as soon as i change the freq to 5180 or any other freq. except the one it had been on. We did a configuration reset on card but didnt solve the problem. Its a strange thing. We do not have any strange setup straight forward Ap setup with minimum setting changed. The only thing we are running is OSPF (type 2)on the RB433AH The specific link was running for about 6 months without an hitch. We did see a log in file "no beacon received" and the main cause is interferance so then we did the scan and saw the other AP on same freq. As the new Ap has no Name we cant identify to whom it belongs.
