Hello there, I am looking for the perfect product to do this.

First of all, I host LAN parties every once and a while and at the facility we use, it does not have internet. My house is not too far away from the facility we use, my idea is to get maybe the nano station, put it out my bedroom window, or even on my roof, which is facing the facilty. If the signal would get there fine, what would I need to receive it? Would just a normal 10DBi antenna that is placed outside by a 7m extension do it powered by an ASUS wireless G PCI card? It would be really good to have internet at the LAN so logging into Steam and downloading a quick patch is not a hassle as it was the previous event.

Also it would be nice to use the setup I choose to be able to access wireless internet at my school with my laptop which is also very close to my house. Would the Nano station be able to penatrate walls at this distance?

As long as you have clear line of sight with room to spare, it should work. If the houses are seven meters high in between, you need at least an 8 meter mast at both ends.

i run lans myself, and have about 30 people ****raping a 11mbit connection into the internet. LAN>WIRELESS@11mbit>ROUTER (limited to 11mbit UP/DWN)>BACKBONE. gaming over decent mikrotik and ubnt products is will be fine. you will get 11mb up/down on ya wireless easy. Steam will work fine, even gaming.
