Dear All;
I need to know what does it mean by the channel shifting feature in PS2? Does it mean it selectes a nother channel if an interference happens or what?
Please advice.

Hello Tamer,
Channel shifting allows you to use non standard 802.11 channels. You must have all Ubiquiti equipment for this to work.
Thanks,
Mike
The purpose is to hide you radios from other non-UBNT radios, it sort of creates a private channel for your use. It only works with other UBNT radios. Reduction of interference may or not be significant, it depends of the signal level of the interfering radio.
Chanel shifting offset the standard channel to a slightly different frequency. for example Channel 1 = 2,412 MHz. You can offset, or shift the frequency 1 MHz higher, where Channel 1 now = 2,413 MHz. Now other non-UBNT radios won't see your channel in use, but they will see it as interference or noise.
But it only marginally decrease interference. If there is another AP close by on Channel 1, it's high side emissions will extend up to 2,414.5 MHz. If you shift your radio to 2,413 MHz, the low side of your channel will still be within the spectrum of of interfering 2,412 radio.
