Hi,

I have 1 PS5 and 1 PS2 running to the same location and the antenna is separated by 2m each.
In the beginning it was running fine for few months until recently almost every day i need to reboot both bridge.
Any idea how can i maintain the stability of the link?

Hrmmm...Trying turning them down to lowest power, separate them by at least thirty feet or in another room, face them away from each other...see what happens after you get no more than a -50 dBm signal.

2m is it miles or meters?

Hello,

It sounds as though you are over saturating the receiver at that short of a distance.

Please attempt what WHT said and let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Mike

Wow, even though one is 2.4ghz and the other is 5ghz they still need 30' separation? I'm assuming that's horizontal separation. Would the vertical separation requirement be less?

What about between two 2.4ghz units? Would the separation requirement be even greater?

I ask because I'm thinking about adding two PowerStation2's in bridge mode to our existing 2.4ghz network.

Thanks!

The 30 foot separation was a mistake on my part, I just realized you have a PS TWO and a PS FIVE.

Since it was working fine in the past, there's more to the issue.

I'd upgrade both radios to the latest firmware first and try again.

I have a Loco 5 sitting right next to a Loco 2 and have no problems.

Its 2 meters.

I notice there is 2 firmware available: 1 is Ubiquiti Air OS v3.1.1 - PowerStation5 and the other is Ubiquiti PowerStation5 Firmware V 2.2.1.

Which one is the firmware that i should try to upgrade?

You want AirOS 3.2.3rc. http://www.ubnt.com/support/airos.php
