I apologize if this has already been covered but I have a problem.

I have two bullet units sitting several feet apart on the floor.

I have power connected and can talk to each unit via ethernet from my laptop.

Each unit has a different IP address.

Units are set for bridge operation.

Units have unique id's set up for each end of the link.

When on the first page of the interface, I push the button to identify ID's of units that each can hear. They both get nothing.

It's like neither are transmitting or neither are receiving.

No RSSI or any indication of signal exists.

Is there anything else that needs to be set up? What I want is a simple bridge to extend internet from one building to another.

I am familiar with Airmux 200 and was expecting these units to work like the Airmux does.

What am I missing or what manual should I consult? I printed off pages from the website and believe that all bases are covered, but something clearly doesn't work.

Hello,

Please visit http://wiki.ubnt.com/airos for setup instructions.

One unit needs to be AP and one units needs to be in STA mode.

Thanks,

Mike

In order for the 2 devices to communicate 1 needs to be set to AP and 1 Client. If on the far end you also want to connect devices wirelessly than it appears this end should be the AP. WDS would/should be used.

As mike stated please read the standard installation procedures. If you have more questions/problms please post again.
