View Full Version : LiteStation-SR71
What AirOS firmware goes into the LiteStation-SR71?
Does Version 3.2.3-rc work for this board? My board says version 1.0.
If so which AirOS firmware do I use?
Thanks in advance.

Hello SAR,
LS-SR71 has its own AirOS system and is starting on V1.1
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks for the reply Mike.
My firmware on my LS-SR71 board is LS-SR71.ar7100.v1.0-11n.3940.081106.1954
Where is the version v1.1 to download?
Also? Will the XtremeRange2 2.4 GHz radio work on this board by any chance even without the MIMO enabled and operating only in standard b/g mode?
Thanks again, sar

Fw LS-SR71.ar7100 is for use with SR71 11N mini-pci cards only.

That AIROS has some bugs and can be improved consistently; for instance error counter don't work, manual data rates doesn't exist. The system boots rapidly and the interface is optimized but if I have a bridge and change some settings on both boards, it takes too much time to reconnect. I also suppose that driver needs improvement.

hi there,
I don't want to be a pain in the rear but I'm pretty much in the same situation as netikelis.
we've got the kit working but is unstable - pretty much what razvan said and a bit more.
we tweak them as much as possible...
we are looking on replacing them with Mikrotik kit now that they support 802.11n.
at least give us something to test or a time scale.
throw us a bone :D
Mike mentioned about v1.1, my LSs say "LS-SR71.ar7100.v1.0-11n" so I assume they have v1.0.
Is there a place from where we can download v1.1?

hi netikelis,
do you think is there any way to convince them to do it? :D
Steven
We've just taken delivery of some PtP pairs that are not UBNT or Mikrotik but are proven (live in commercial environments) to transport 100Mbps full duplex through the air up to 5kms in the unlicensed band.
What I wonder is how much would the equivalent UBNT or MT solution cost for a pair if they actually worked?
These particular units come in at under 3000 USD per link which seems reasonable.
Can't wait to see them in action.

hi maxy,
For 5 Km UBNT or MKT or combination of the two will probably deliver more than 100M at a cost below 2000k euro, depending on what antennas you use (the cheap ones or the expensive ones :))
cheers,
Steven
