I had to redo a cat5 end on a bullet5, and the little white ring tore easily. Of course, coax seal probably worked fine, but was wondering if UBNT might make a replacement pack available at some point.
Would be handy to have in the toolbox. Maybe packs of 10 or 20?
I had the same problem with one of my rubber seal a few months ago and related that in a post. I believe it was UBNT Robert that said it was supposed to split open.
If you carefully look at the outside rim of the outside overlap section, you can see a slight indentation in the rubber. That is where the frangible part of the seal is. Pull apart the seal at the indentation and the rest of the seal along the threaded looking section will pull apart.
With or without the seal, a small amount of non-drying caulk will work. followed by a taping the end over. The caulk is often called "rope caulk" and can be found in the weatherstripping section at a hardware store.

Hey Guys,
They are meant to come apart at one point. If it tore any other place it would need to be replaced.
I will pass the info along about replacement packs.
Thanks,
Mike
