I could have sworn there was a freznel calculator embedded in the AirOS, but after I did the firmware upgrade, I'm not finding it. Maybe I made it up that it was there, and it was actually somewhere else?

In any case, where can I get some good info about how to determine at what height i should mount my equipment for what distance, where the freznel zone is etc?

Nope...You might want to try Radio Mobile software to plot your topographic Fresnel zone clearances.

Thanks, but it looks like Radio Mobile is a windows application. Working with the linux and mac os here, will try to find something else.

Unless you can WINE RM in Linux...the only other thing you can to is map the topography out by hand. PM me your GPS waypoints and I'll run a plot for ya.
