 ....when I read the part about office copiers and wireless, Marlon's named popped up right in my head.

I don't know of anything bad about him. Although his information may be very out of date by several years.

User "mellestad" http://forum.ubnt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5747&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 said he has dealt with Marlon's Accima Wireless http://www.accima.com

And no...I don't do copiers.

I take that back, I had to give advice to someone that was trying to photocopy his bare **** and he broke the glass.

PowerPoint...Perhaps the ONLY original concept of an application Micro$oft ever came up with.

Its a god send for brain dead managers traveling to an out of town meeting that spent the night partying in a bar before they have to compose and give a presentation at 1:00 the next day.

But to give credit to MS, if..IF...you know how to use it, it is indeed a very powerful program that can embed True Type fonts in a drawing, for example.

I knew a lady that would discipline her kids with a PowerPoint presentation explaining "family cohesiveness" .

99.9% of the people I have to deal with have Windows, not Linux.

Linux doesn't support the tools I need most.

Linux is fine for servers...its not yet ready for the desktop (in spite of the fact I said the same thing about ten years ago).

Most of my stuff has dual boot.

Had to create an account and stop just reading for this one. Our whole office is nix based. We've thought about adding a Mac tho. Only thing I've come across that I couldn't do in nix was photoshop, I don't care for Gimp as much, but am progressing, and quickbooks. We just use spreadsheets anyways. Most are desktops are multimonitor nix. This one is 6 monitor with 3 video cards, so I'd say nix is quite fine on the desktop if your fine with nix. I find it difficult to use Windows myself. Although that wasn't always the case.
