First of all, sorry for my poor English!

I plan to use the MIMO technology in a new project for VideoIP, but finished up with a big question.

If the technology "n" in a 3x3 MIMO hardware such as the Operation-The SR71 allows data rates reaching up to 300Mbps, because the LiteStation-SR71 currently has only a Fast Ethernet (1 x 10/100 Base-TX (Cat 5 , RJ-45) Ethernet interface) rather than a port Giga (1 x 10/100/1000 Base-TX (Cat 5, RJ-45) Ethernet interface)?

Or the card SR71-A shall not exceed the limit of 100Mbs of fast ethernet?

Hello O-Nola,

You do not need Gigabit ethernet because the ethernet port is a 100Mbps Full duplex port. It can see speeds of 85Mbps TCP/IP each direction or 170Mbps aggregate.

The 11N pushes about 145Mbps aggregate so under the total speed for the ethernet port.

Thanks,

Mike

Keep in mind with Type "N" - - -

In theory...
5.8 Gig radio has 300 Meg throughput.
2.4 Gig radio has 150 Meg throughput.

In practice, do not be surprised if you only see one fifth that.

But my application will require several links Point to Multipoint receiving several groups of video from various points and entering an optical fiber.

In a VideoIp transmition a single camera can consume up to 4Mbps

An Ethernet port Giga could not allow an Ap receive rates higher than 170Mbps aggregate to the limit of 300 Mbps to enter the optical fiber?

Thanks

Hello Nola,

The 300Mbps is over the air data rates. Your actual TCP/IP speeds can go up to 145Mbps depending upon the link.

Thanks,

Mike
