I installed SRC and Ubiquiti Client Utility on my Dell D610 as a test without any problem and I can turn my SRC on and off from the Client Utility.
When I install it on my Embedded Standard (new version of XP Embedded) and I couldn't get it to work. The enable radio button was grayed out. I uninstall the complete software and driver, then re-installing it without any luck.
I could use ipconfig/all to see the SRC status. It shows up under the hardware list OK. If I use Windows to configure my SRC, it will detect most of the AP.
I'm thinking if the Ubiquiti Client Utility is not compatible with Embedded Standard?
By the way, I'm running version 7.7
Thanks.

Hello Cwong,
Our software is not compatible with embedded XP.
Thanks,

Is there any alternative? Should I not use SRC for my application or you have other suggstion?

Hello Cwong,
Unfortunately there is not other option for Embedded Windows from Ubiquiti.
You can run Linux and use the MadWiFi driver to run the SRC on an embedded platform.
Thanks,

I got my SRC working under Microsoft Embedded Standard (XP Embedded).
My problem was the Enable Radio was grayed out on my Ubiquiti Client Utility. I discovered that was due to Ubiquiti Configuration Service failed to start. I tried to start it up manually under Administration Tools/Services/ and received an error message saying missing pdh.dll.
Once I copied the missing dll file over, Ubiquiti Client Utility ran better than I expected.
If anyone has similar problem, install UCU on standard XP machine and run Dependency Walker on acs.exe. It will list our around 150 dll files that acs.exe is relaying on.
I ended up finding the following file missing on my Embedded system.
cdfview.dll, pdh.dll, mobsync.dll, w32topl.dll.
It really depends on what component you included on your target designer when you build your Embedded System.
My final word is, UCU does work well on Windows Embedded System.
I also disabled Wireless Zero Configuration under services to make sure only UCU will be the only utility configuring my SRC card.
I can control the power a lot better in UCU than WZC to clean up the noise. for indoor environment, 200mW was way too much and the signal quality was down to ~ 40 %. Once I decreased the power down to 63mW, the signal quality increased to ~80 %.
Does anyone know if there is a good site survey tool "freeware" that I can download?
Thanks.
