Has anyone out there had success using Madio Mobile software to accurately model 5.8ghz installations?
I started tinkering with it and was having some issues just getting it to run properly and heard that it had issues producing reasonable results at higher frequencies so I set it aside.

I use it exclusively and it is better
than most of the paid products I have tried
its results have always been spot on
That said its not the most easy to use but once you
get familiar with it and setup it up properly its
hard to beat especially considering the price
If you don't watch very carefully what data you input, it can produce some unexpected and surprising results, though erroneous. Once you use it awhile, you can get a feel for what should work..if you see a path to good to be true, then you have a setting or date incorrectly selected.
OK....mebbe this weekend I'll work on that six year old project RM tutorial.

I have it running now and have run path analysis on one of my links.
It all looks ok except that it continues to show antenna gain as 8db when I have set the station properties as 28db. Triple checked and both ends show 28db in the properties but when I look at the path it shows correct tx power but incorrect antenna gain.
Steve...can you send me a copy of your radiosys,dat file for me to look at?
And the4 GPS numbers of the two links you're working with.
