MT RouterOS 3.16

bullet2 running XS2.ar2316.v3.2.3-rc.4063.081124.1732

How exactly does one get this unit to work properly in a repeater type situation with Mikrotik peers? MT reports connections from two MACs: (00:15:6D:AB:1C:F5 w/ WDS & 06:15:6D:AB:1C:F5 w/o WDS). If there are no connections to the AP or ethernet, I can ping the bullet from the wifi. As soon as there is any network activity over either the bullet's AP or the ethernet, the unit is no longer reachable from the MT side.

I have managed to get data to pass to MT for short periods of time. Seconds at the most.

Any suggestions?

Hello Jsuter,

Are you using WPA encryption?

Thanks,

Mike

Not on this link.

I did manage to get it working, rock solid too. I'm not sure what prompted the issue, but a 'reset to defaults' and a complete reconfiguration worked. Came right up using 'Auto' mode. Didn't try manual WDS configuration on the bullet after that (my laptop was going dead). The MT APs are set for dynamic wds, but I have manual entries in for the bullet and they appear to be using those entries.

I suspect this was caused by me playing with various settings (AP+WDS and router mode, mostly) before setting the bullet to the intended use.

Thank you!
