Hi,
I received my first two PS5 for testing purposes.
When trying to upgrade the "provided on delivery firmware" v. 2.2.1 to
the latest RC 3.2.3, using PS5 web interface, I got a message about
"bad firmware..."
How can I ugrade these devices?
Thank you ?

Hello Jockel,
What is the exact firmware version (all number and letters) that you are trying to use.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
the entire version number was PS5.ar2313.v2.2.1.2476.080208.1610
the one used for upgrade was this download:
http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/XS-fw/v3.2.3-rc/XS5.ar2313.v3.2.3-rc.4063.081124.1740.bin
Trying around, I have just found out, that upgrading to the regular 3.1.1 and
then upgrading to latest RC 3.2.3 works fine! This is solved so far!
- When doing such jump in firmware would you recommend resetting the
device?
- Is resetting using the software (Webgui) option exactly the same as pressing
reset for some seconds?
So far I am very pleased with the mechanical make of the devices overall
and the quite intuitivly managable software. I find realy all my required
standard needs available!
The only thing that took me a little by surprise...yes I can usually read those
datasheets...was the size of these PS5. Don“t ask me why, but from whatever
strange reason I had a clear imagination what size they were...and
went completely wrong, they came in as double!
Hmm, in case there are more.... out like me, maybe have one single image
with those datasheets or product descriptions, showing the device aside
whatever object, commonly know in its dimensions.

I was surprised how small the Loco was...smaller than I imagined. But the Bullet was a bigger than I imaged.

Hey Jockel,
Yes I do apologize for the firmware upgrade. YOu cannot use XS firmware for any units with less then V3.0
You can go from 2.2.1 to V3.2.3-RC using the file labeled PS5. Now that you are on V3.* you can use the XS files from now on.
Thanks,
Mike
