Hey All,
Was browsing around when I saw this from Ubiquiti and noticed the chipset used:
RouterStation
Featuring a fast 680MHz MIPS 24K CPU, 64MB RAM, and 16MB.
My question is whether or not it might be possible to run a mikrotik
OS on these. This is a mikrotik Routerboard:
RB433AH
Atheros AR7130 680MHz MIPS network processor
I asked this in a mikrotik forum also but being as they are inclined to push routerboards the only answer I got was:
RouterOS works only on two type of devices:
- RouterBOARD by MikroTik
- X86 PC type devices
So lets have a further look at this...both use Atheros 680MHZ MIPS 24K processors, same clock speed, and same general architecture...what am I missing? Very curious!
