Set up an XR2 as an access point, can't connect to it via my laptop.
Then switched it to a station, can't get it to connect to the 802.11g wireless router in my office that my laptop can connect to ok.
Here's some weirdness reported by athstats for when it was in station mode:

2 long on-chip tx retries
891 tx frames with no ack marked
920 tx frames with short preamble
351 rx failed due to bad CRC
1376 rx failed due to frame too short
9 PHY errors
1 OFDM restart
8 CCK restart
19 rate control checks
rssi of last ack: 46
rssi of last rcv: 50
1 switched default/rx antenna
Antenna profile:
[1] tx 347 rx 8364
