Have 2 NS2 making a half mile bridge (works fine). Need to turn 90 degrees and go another half mile (currently; NS1 =WDS-AP and NS2 = WDS-station)
To turn the corner can I just add 3d NS connected with ethernet cable to NS2...then wireless to a 4th NS at 90 degree new direction ? If this would work, do I set the first added NS as WDS-AP with different channel...and 4th NS as as WDS-Station--like the first link ?

Thanks,
Curt

Hello Curt,

Yes this will work

Unit 1 <======> Unit 2 --ethernet-- Unit 3<=======> unit 4

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Mike....just to confirm setup --
Units 1 and 3 configured the same (as WDS-AP); and Units 2 and 4 configured the same (as WDS-Station) ?

Yes this is correct, just use a different SSID on units 1 and 3

Thanks,

if the there are clients being authenticated using mac address on the this bridges there is a limitation as the it will see the mac address of 2nd NS2.

Hello Gmidia,

This will not occur in AP/WDS <---> STA/WDS as the MAC's are still intact. With this setup it is a transparent brige.

Thanks,

Mike

the same should work with mikrotik configured as ap-wds and nano as station-wds?
